What was the highlight of Aston Karimun City Hotel

Chill weekend away with friendly people and great experiences.

Staff were super friendly. Amazingly helpful and kind. Loads of food options available around the area. If not, the hotel provides complimentary taxi service which is so helpful in getting around! There's a department store in the same carpark as the hotel where you can buy snacks, water, beer if you want. A/C in the room was a dream after the weather outside.

Facilities are a bit dated but ok. Fridge in room didn't work. Wifi was a bit slow but usable. The TV had ok channels but as it was a satellite TV, signal was low and had unsynced audio and video. Still great for an easy watch after a long day outside. Pool was small and filled with families (all still having a great time) so it was not for us.

Really good experience with the hotel, just hope there are improvements with the breakfast buffet.

I really enjoyed the stay at this hotel!! The staffs are really awesome, they provide free transport around the city, and the driver brings us to eat lots of good food!! The bed was comfortable, the staff are polite, friendly and they will try their best to fulfill all our requests! Really thankful to all the staff at the hotel for giving us such a good experience!

The breakfast buffet was such a disappointment! The milk was not fresh, there are ants in it. The jams provided have so many flies flying on top of it. There are lots of flies flying around and the drinks were too sweet.

Not a 4 star standard hotel

Aircon was good and hotel provide free transport to and fro where you want to go.

The room position is bad. The powerpoint locations are weird. Nowhere near table or the kettle. Worst was the phone not working!

the restaurant "at the top" was fine

No tent in the shower, so water went everywhere. There were teabag and water but not boiler in the room to prepare your tea. TV was not working and I have been obliged to call twice the help of a technician (going directly to recepetion because internal phone was not working) before the issue was solved

Try to improve the cleanliness of the hotel in each room.

The aircon is not cold enough.3 days. 2 nights of stay never used the blanket due to hot temp of the room aircon is not working well. And the telephone is not working! So bad experience.

Could be better than expected

Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was ok. The pool was ok.

The rooms we were given have smell of stale air. There were dead cockroaches in the drawers, the toilet has cob webs and the counter surfaces has not been dusted. The most discomforting fact was our floor has some sleazy business going on. Will not stay here again.️

Maybe was a nice hotel, but does not look anymore like on the pictures (if it looked anytime in the past like that). Music all night long. Facility very destroyed and not maintained. Room window on the floor level, so you can see the feet of people passing the corridor. Nice room service menu, but we tried to order 2 dishes and they were not available.

Disappointed

Gym is present with some machines to work out. Breakfast was good, lots of hot and cold dishes from Indonesian food to cereal and toast with various spreads.

No jetty pickup, smoking inside (every room smells like a ashtray), fridge, water heater and cups provided were dirty, towels smelled moldy. WiFi is slow and unstable (bandwidth was not enough for Netflix, mobile connection was better most of the time)

Overall in all aspects it’s good

One side of the rooms has no ventilation, in toilets flush tanks to be repaired, lot of water Getting wasted due to leak, breakfast time is 10 am , by 9 am itself all dishes are empty , and staff is not filling it.

The staff service was very bad. I had paid my room via booking.com, but at check out, they demanded for my payment again and i had to justified my payment again. Not to book this hotel. There is a open air pub and KTV just 50m away from this hotel. The super loud music last till 3am every night. Very night is a sleepless night...very bad stay!

Good hotel but can be so much better

The breakfast was good, the room was nice. This is really the only decent hotel in Karimun so you have no choice really.

The disco sound does not let you relax and sleep in the room till 5 am. Water flow in the washroom is poor. Water isnt warm.
